Huge congratulations to the pupils and teaching staff of Stuart Road Primary Academy in Plymouth, who have performed incredibly in their SATs this year!
Headteacher, Britta Nicholls said:
"We are immensely proud of our incredible results this year. The teachers and children have truly given their all, and against the odds, have achieved fantastic learning outcomes, giving the Year 6 children the best possible start for their secondary education."
The combined results were 79% EXS which is well above the national combined 61%.
Year 6 pupils say, the reasons for their success are because:
"We took advice on board."
"We had good behaviour and attitude towards learning."
"There was a calm atmosphere and a feeling of being well-prepared for the tests."
"We have the best nagging teachers!"
Andreea Ioja, Year 6 teacher said:
"We are all very proud of each pupils' hard work and resilience. It has been a great team effort with the Year 6 teaching team setting high expectations and high aspirations throughout the school year. As a team, we have all believed in each and every one."
Such a fantastic achievement and we wish all year 6's good luck in their next steps at secondary school!
