Goosewell Exploring Judaism: A Special Visit for Year 1

Year 1 at Goosewell Primary School had a fantastic opportunity last week when they welcomed a special visitor, Judith, to talk about Judaism. This visit was an exciting addition to their Religious Education (R.E.) lessons, where they have been learning all about Jewish traditions, beliefs, and customs.
The children were eager to engage in the discussion and amazed Judith with their knowledge! It was wonderful to see them confidently sharing what they had learned, showing great independence and ownership of their learning.
Judith’s talk brought Judaism to life for the students, helping them to deepen their understanding in a meaningful way. The visit sparked curiosity, thoughtful questions, and a real appreciation for different faiths and cultures.
A big thank you to Judith for taking the time to visit Year 1 – it was an enriching and memorable experience for everyone involved!
